The Challenge
LoudLion is a lean creative performance agency that helps eCommerce and DTC brands grow with scroll‑stopping UGC and psychology‑driven social content. The agency wanted a new outbound channel that matched its research‑driven positioning, without hiring a full SDR team.
Before this project, LoudLion’s growth relied mainly on inbound, referrals, and paid traffic, with only light, generic cold outreach experiments that did not reflect the depth of their creative and strategic work. They knew that if they wanted to approach bigger, higher‑value brands, their cold emails needed to sound like a strategist had actually audited the account but the manual research required to check Instagram, TikTok, and Meta Ads for each prospect made that impossible at any meaningful scale.
The team didn’t have the time to research each prospect properly, so outbound never became a serious, repeatable sales channel, and building a traditional SDR team would have cut into margins for a lean agency model.
The Solution
To solve this, LoudLion invested in a script‑based “outbound engine” that behaves like an internal analyst, turning a simple list of emails and domains into fully researched audits and ready‑to‑send, highly personalised first‑touch emails.
The system ties together Google Sheets as the list hub, a custom automation layer for scraping and orchestration, various APIs (RapidAPI, Apify, Meta Ads Library) for data collection, and GPT‑style models for insight generation and email copy. The engine pulls their social presence, scrapes their Meta ads, identifies and checks relevant competitors, computes performance indicators, and then drafts emails that reference real metrics and brand context in a natural tone.
How It Works
Day to day, a single operator spends a few minutes loading a new prospect batch (600-2000) (emails + domains) into Google Sheets, then triggers the automation, which takes over from there.
- The system resolves each domain to locate the brand’s website, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Meta Ads Library page, and records follower counts and basic profile details.
- It scrapes the prospect’s Meta Ads, classifies creatives as video vs static, and calculates totals, ratios, and recency, giving a quick read on their current paid social footprint.
- An AI step proposes likely competitors in the same niche that are “bigger but comparable,” and a second round of scraping confirms which of those competitors actually run ads and at what scale.
- A final AI pass uses this structured data—follower numbers, ad counts, video:static mix, competitor positioning—to generate cold emails that feel like mini‑audits, including specific stats and tailored recommendations, which are then exported into Instantly for sending.
